Artist Statement

I’m Emily Rose, a creative and artist of many media. I create art to understand the world around me and to express how I feel internally. My flowers show beauty but also tell a story about finding confidence. The goal of my art is to bring joy, thoughtfulness, and emotion to the viewer. Color is an essential part of my expressive style and provides a way for me to show what my imaginative universe looks like. My paintings and creations are a world of their own that continues to grow as I do.

My art also shows the disabled experience and celebrates imperfections. The paint shows my tremors and inability to be steady. Rather than correct those imperfections, I highlight them as a part of myself.
